Privacy policy

Portafilter Co is a content site, not a store. We collect as little as possible. This page explains what that means in plain English.

Last updated: July 2026. This policy explains how Portafilter Co("we"), published by Type 5 Marketing LLC, handles information when you visit portafilterco.com.

What we collect

  • Analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people find us. It collects standard, largely anonymized information — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. We use it in aggregate; we do not use it to identify you personally.
  • Contact form data. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit, so we can reply. We use it only to respond to you.
  • Affiliate link data. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer (usually Amazon) may set a cookie that credits us if you buy. That cookie is set and controlled by the retailer under its own privacy policy, not ours.

What we do NOT do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run our own advertising trackers beyond the analytics above. We do not build marketing profiles on you, and we do not email you unless you contacted us first.

Cookies

Cookies on this site come from two sources: Google Analytics (to measure traffic) and the affiliate networks whose links you click (to credit a referral). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.

Third parties

The main third parties that may receive data are Google (Analytics) and Amazon and any other affiliate networks whose links you follow. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it uses that data. Our contact form is delivered through a Microsoft email service solely to route your message to us.

Your choices

  • Use your browser's controls to block cookies or analytics.
  • Ask us to delete a message you sent through the contact form by emailing info@portafilterco.com.
  • Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

Children

This site is intended for adults shopping for coffee equipment and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
